  • Without special permission from the Ministry of Information, photography of government offices, airports, military installations, official residences, embassies, and other sensitive places is illegal. It is not allowed to take photos of police and armed forces service members and gatherings and protests. There are strictly applied rules.
  • Armed members of the Presidential Guard, patrol the area around the State House in Harare (the President's official residence). This legal status has been the subject of some controversy following the adoption of the new constitution in 2013, and the Constitutional Court recently ruled that some types of dual nationality were legal and that Zimbabwean citizens were entitled to hold dual nationality by birth.
