Formerly known as Burma, Myanmar is visited mainly for religious purposes though it has many more things and gems to offer. Myanmar is home to more than 100 ethnic groups and that makes it a very diverse country. To say that Myanmar has a lot of pagodas would be an understatement as you will find them around almost every corner in the country. The most famous pagodas are Shwedagon pagoda, Sule, and Kyaiktiyo pagoda. Myanmar has beautiful scenic locations which can provide you relief from your stressful everyday life. Examples of this being Kandawgyi lake, Mount Popa and Inke lake. You will also find massive temples which are sure to leave you mesmerized. Shan-style rice is among the most well-known Myanmar food and is also known as fish rice. Visiting Myanmar is easier than other countries owing to its hassle-free visa process. Citizens of around 12 countries do not need a visa to visit Myanmar while citizens of other countries can get an e-visa, visa-on-arrival or get it from their nearest Myanmar diplomatic mission. We recommend you to try for an e-visa as it is the easiest process of the lot.
