Located in East Africa, Tanzania is well known for its wildlife as well as diverse landscapes. The country is home to many national parks but the most famous one perhaps is Serengeti National Park, as it houses a huge variety of animals such as elephants, rhinos, lions, leopards, and buffalos. You must have heard about Mount Kilimanjaro, the largest Mount in Africa and one visit will tell you what the hype is all about. It is situated in the Kilimanjaro National Park which again has many rare species of plants and animals to boast of. If you are in a mood to relax, you can head straight to Pemba Island which will not only help you relax but will also let you try your hands at various water sports such as snorkeling. Selous Mapumziko Lodge and Olduvai Gorge are other places worth visiting and definitely worth mentioning here. Unless you come from one of the visa-exempt countries, you will have to get it beforehand from the embassy of Tanzania in your country or apply for a visa on arrival.
