What you can do for Yemen Visa
Though it is a known fact that getting into Yemen can be a little tricky than other countries given their history of civil wars and tribal conflicts, but the ones who do go there get the rewards in equal proportions. You can go indulge yourself in the rich history of Yemen which has several ancient tombs to boast of, the best of them being in Sanaa. The flora and fauna of the country stand apart from the rest with Yemen being home to Socotra which has its famous bottle trees. Yemeni architecture can be witnessed in the magnificent Al-Saleh Mosque and the Gulf of Aden, formerly known as “the Gulf of Berbera” is not a sight to miss after dawn. Visa-on-arrival is not available in Yemen as per the current government regulations so you need to go to one of their diplomatic missions and apply for the same.
Visitors looking to go to Yemen for their own purposes like visiting friends and family, sightseeing etc. need to apply for a tourist visa. The period of stay cannot exceed 30 days and this visa needs to be applied beforehand as visa-on-arrival is no longer available in the country.
If you are going to the country for your business purposes like setting or extending your business or give some specific set of services, you need to have a business visa. You can stay there for a maximum period of 30 days and like the tourist visa, this needs to be had beforehand. You would require an invitation from the institute or organization you will be visiting during your stay with its seal and stamp and complete information of your contact in Yemen.
Getting a visa to study in Yemen is not as easy as getting the Yemen Business Visa or Yemen Tourist Visa, but it can still be done. You will probably get issued a visa that is valid for the duration of your course.
The current policy of their foreign ministry doesn’t allow visitors to opt for a visa-on-arrival though, before 2010, citizens of around 50 nations were allowed the same.
There is no provision of e-visa available so you need to go to your nearest Yemeni embassy to apply for the same.
