If accepted. now the applicant will indeed be able to stay in Thailand for 30 days without the requirements for a visa. Similarly, green card holders and US citizens are now able to participate in the visa regime.

This provides open doors for ex-pats who are currently holding on to their non-immigrant O Visa status and wish to extend their stay past the month allotted under this classification.

THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE THAILAND VISA FOR GREEN CARDHOLDERS 

Here are some basic requirements of the Thailand visa for the green cardholder. One should be to organise the requirements and then start with the further process 

  • Considered necessary is a copy of a  Legal Permanent Resident Card or Green Card.
  • In case the green card holder is self-employed, one must supply a copy of the company registration or business licence registration with the applicant's name on it.
  • A letter or paperwork confirming the surety and position of the job.
  • Provide such a photocopy of a business licence or business registration with the candidate's name on it in case the  applicant is self-employed 
  • Evidence of student enrollment status for students.
  • The Thai government does have very strict visa photograph standards, therefore don't let an inaccurately styled visa photograph cause this may affect the application to be denied.
  • The green card holder must submit the passport, which must be acceptable and authenticated by the holder only to make sure to provide original documents only. It must be present for at least 6 months that have at minimum 1 blank visa sheet. Foreign diplomats are still unable to grant visas on sheets that are not identified as Visa pages. The backside of the passport's Amendment and Endorsement pages cannot be utilised to get a visa.
  • Even though there is only one Small Stamp on the visa page, a visa cannot be stamped on it. In case the green card holder's passport is about to expire in the next 6 months, you should extend it first, and then it is acceptable to arrange a visa with the new passport.
  • A hotel booking confirmation is necessary, and the confirmation must identify the applicant's identity.
  • Please attach one application form which has been completed and signed.

TOURIST VISA FOR THAILAND VISA 

In case the green card holder stays in Thailand for greater than 30 days, he or she should apply for a tourist visa. However,  The tourist visa must be utilised within 90 days of its date of issuance and provides for a 60-day initial visit. A tourist visa may be extended once after arrival in Thailand at the option of an immigration department for just an additional thirty days, with a maximum duration of no more than 90 days. American citizens who are aged 50 and over are now eligible for retirement visas in Thailand. Such visas are only valid for one year, and working in just about any form is strictly banned. Applicants must meet the following requirements, as per Thai immigration:

The candidate must be able to show documentation of the pension or other regular income from outside Thailand.

RETIREMENT  VISA FOR THAILAND VISA 

The monthly equivalent of the applicant's pension or other monthly income must be at a minimum of 65,000 ฿;

However, the applicant can fulfil the financial criteria by maintaining an account in Thailand with a minimum balance of 800,000 Baht. (When applying, applicants must show that they will have 800,000 ฿ in assets each year.)
