Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, or "Mosi o Tunya," as local people call it, means "thunderers of smoke." It is Zambia's largest, 2 km wide and 103 meters deep waterfall. This is one of its biggest waterfalls. Kafue National Park Hot air balloon Ride
Zambia's biggest game sanctuary is Kafue National Park covering 8,687 square miles (22,499 sq. km). A hot air balloon trip in the Busanga plains on the northern part of the park is one of the best ways to see the varying wildlife of lions, cheetahs, and antelopes. Guests staying in the bush camp Busanga or Shumba for three or more nights will be entitled to the hot air balloon ride followed by a tasty champagne breakfast.
Kuomboka ceremony
In Zambia, there are over 72 tribes, many of whom celebrate traditional ceremonies with their rich cultural patrimony. These ceremonies honor or replicate military achievement. The Kuomboka of the Lozi tribe of the western province is one of the most vivid of these ceremonies. The King's movement from one of his palaces called the League, held at the end of the rainy season (usually from April), was situated up in the Limulunga floodplain. The highlight of the ceremony is its huge boats called Nalikwanda, which includes a large model elephant and the rowers that synchronize boats. Travel to Mongu to the harbor to go on a ship to League, to attend the Kuomboka.
Bird spotting
Some of the 753 birds reported in Zambia are white pelican, flamingo, cattle egret, and the wattled crane. In Monze town in the southern part of the province, 428 species have been recorded in Lochinvar National Park, while birdlife is also high in the Busanga plain of Kafu National Park as well as the Bangweulu swamp of the shoe-fields in northern Zambia.
Snorkeling
The second deepest lake in the world is Lake Tanganyika in northern Zambia. It is the best place to snorkel and dive with over 350 different species of fish and clear waters. Thornicroft giraffes
Although you can see giraffes from other parts of Africa, you will feel unique when you see a species that is native to a region. The South Luangwa National Park rests the Thornicroft Giraffe (also referred to as the Rhodesian Giraffe). Rhodesian giraffes have long, dark tongues and colored hues with very long tails. They also have leafy, leg-shaped patches. Of these giraffe species, there are only around 550 in the world, although a joint effort is being made to increase their numbers by conservation groups. Located in the north-eastern part of Zambia, South Luangwa National Park can be reached by car or on an air-travel via the Mfuwe from Lusaka.
Lundazi Castle
Zambia's eastern province has nothing to see, so that the Lundazi Castle might look strange. It was designed by a district agent named Errol Button in the late 1940s as a Norman-style brick castle and originally called the "Rumpelstiltskin" until it was renamed a government restaurant in Lundazi Castle. The castle of Lundazi is situated in Lundazi city center, about 730 km from the village of Lusaka.
Eco-tourism
The National Park of Lower Zambezi was recently identified as the first carbon neutral park in the world to completely offset its greenhouse gas emissions from tourism. It offers excellent birdlife, lion, buffalo, hippos, and monkey animal sightings, amongst others. In December 2017, Luambe National Park was also granted the same status. Although it is much smaller with fewer kinds of animals than Lower Zambezi, the park is suitable for those who want a much quieter experience in the national park. No other guests stay in the park, as it remains largely unexplored, is not unusual to see. The Lower Zambezi is just about three minutes drive away from Lusaka. Luambe is located in the eastern region of Zambia.
