Parc National de la Pendjari
Parc National de la Pendjari is a national park in Benin. The park covers an area of 6,700 km² and was established in 1963. It is located in the southwestern region of Benin and covers the area between the Niger River and the Pendjari River. The park has many different ecosystems, ranging from savannah to dense rainforest. The park has many different animals. Elephants, chimpanzees, lions and buffaloes are all present in the park. Birds are also abundant within the park, including Fischer's turaco, which is in danger of extinction and has a large population. Bioparc is a safari park in Benin. It was created to protect and preserve one of the last remaining intact ecosystems in West Africa, as well as to promote community development, tourism and economic growth. Bioparc is situated within the Parc National de la Pendjari, the first national park in Benin established in 1989, which covers an area of 1,368 square kilometres. The Parc National de la Pendjari is also home to the endangered African wild dog, or "Dingo", which once roamed all over West Africa, but because of humans they are extinct.
Pehuenco
It is another fantastic tourist spot in Benin to get off the well-worn tourist's path . Pehuenco is known for its decorations, thus the market stalls in this city are even more unique. The city is located on the left bank of the Niger River, about 20 kilometres north of Cotonou, Benin's commercial centre.
